L.A. Poker Classic Championship hosted by Commerce Casino

Commerce Casino will host the L.A. Poker Classic between the 19th and 24th of January. The championship will include Stud Hi/Low Split, Omaha Hi/Low Split, 7-Card Stud, Pot Limit Omaha High and No Limit Hold'em tournaments. The prize pool is estimated at $7 million. The big winner will receive $2 million and a guaranteed seat at the World Poker Tour (WPT) championship to be held in Las Vegas at the Bellagio. The runner-up will get $1 million.

The championship will bring in over 600 players including Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Howard Lederer, Annie Duke, Jennifer Harman, T.J. Cloutier, plus many more. The event will air on the Travel Channel on Wednesdays at 9 pm EST.

Blue Water Classic Poker Event in Ontario

The third annual Blue Water Classic Poker Event will take place at Point Edward's Charity Casino in Ontario, Canada. The poker tournament will run from the 21st to the 26th of February. Players, 19 years and older, can register at the casino or by calling toll-free 1-888-394-6244.

The prize pool for the six day no-limit poker event is estimated at over $140 000. The top ten winners will receive cash prizes. Entry fees range from $100 to $500, depending on which day you choose to play. Players from all over the world are welcome to enter the poker tournament. Hurry before all the seats are taken!
